What Is Pressure Washing.
Pressure Washing is a method used to clean hard surfaces to rid them of debris, moss, grime and sometimes stains, like oil marks.
Benefits Of Pressure Washing
Benefits are not restricted to cleaning and making the surfaces look new. They can include the prevention of trips and falls on hard slippery surfaces which tend to occur in the winter months. This tends to happen in the colder months and wet environments which encourages growths such as algae, lichens, liverworts and moss growing on hard surfaces which can cause hard surfaces such as pathways, drives, steps and patios to become slippery.
Surfaces That Can Be Pressure Washed.
Typical surfaces that can be pressure washed include concrete paths, concrete surfaces, paved patios, brick paved driveways, brick paved walk ways and hard surface steps.
Brick Paving Care After Pressure Washing.
After pressure washing any brick paving we will follow with a process of brushing in kiln dried sand, once the bricks have dried out and the surface area is dry. This will fill in the gaps where the old kiln dried soil was removed during the process of pressure washing.
Weed Problems Between Gaps and Joints
In some cases it may be necessary to spray certain areas where weeds have taken hold. If we dealing with small weeds spraying may not be necessary as the pressure cleaning process will normally remove them easily with there roots. If there are just a few weeds here and there we will pull them out. However if they have roots that wont come out or they may cause damage by pulling them out we will spot spray just the weed areas. Spraying can be done before or after the pressure washing process. If done after the pressure washing it will probably be a month or two later once the weeds have grown 2 to 4 inches in height.
